WELCOME! MY NAME IS EMILY SHEAHAN-STAHL.
ABOUT ME
My Background
I've always had a passion to improve education: To make it exciting, engaging, and meaningful.
From a young age, I knew that I was meant to teach. The funny thing is, I was a horrible student.
Thanks to my terrific education at Central Michigan University, I've learned to not only be a better student, but how to reach out to students like my high school self.

I logged 80+ hours of face-to-face clinical experience and 220+ hours of virtual clinical experience due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. I also created a virtual platform for students to engage and discuss themes of physical fitness via Twitter. I corresponded with students and parents to collaborate on student success during the lock-down with the goal to keep students engaged in the learning process outside of the school building.
STUDENT TEACHER - ENGLISH

I logged 300+ hours of observation, teaching, co-teaching, lesson planning, and professional development. I taught 15+ lessons to 8th grade and 7th grade students where I fostered positive relationships with students to create meaningful lesson plans. Part of that was teaching a novel unit for Tom Sawyer where I created interactive and engaging formative and summative assessments.
From this unit I developed data from assessments that showed student growth throughout my student teaching experience.
